### sec.258 Delegation of mayor’s powers A mayor may delegate the mayor’s powers to another councillor of the local government. However, the mayor must not delegate the power to give directions to the chief executive officer. s 258 amd 2012 No. 33 s 166 ; 2019 No. 30 s 119 (sec.258-ssec.1) A mayor may delegate the mayor’s powers to another councillor of the local government. (sec.258-ssec.2) However, the mayor must not delegate the power to give directions to the chief executive officer.
