### sec.150EM Dealing with prescribed conflict of interest at a meeting
This section applies if a councillor gives a notice at, or informs, a meeting of the councillor’s prescribed conflict of interest in a matter.
The councillor must leave the place at which the meeting is being held, including any area set aside for the public, and stay away from the place while the matter is discussed and voted on.
Maximum penalty—200 penalty units or 2 years imprisonment.
However, the councillor does not contravene subsection (2) by participating in a decision or being present under an approval given under section 150EV .
