### sec.126 Producing authorised person’s identity card
An authorised person may exercise a power under this division, in relation to a person, only if the authorised person—
first produces his or her identity card for the person to inspect; or
has his or her identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person.
However, if for any reason it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised person must produce the identity card for the person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
(sec.126-ssec.1) An authorised person may exercise a power under this division, in relation to a person, only if the authorised person— first produces his or her identity card for the person to inspect; or has his or her identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person.
(sec.126-ssec.2) However, if for any reason it is not practicable to comply with subsection (1) , the authorised person must produce the identity card for the person’s inspection at the first reasonable opportunity.
- (a) first produces his or her identity card for the person to inspect; or
- (b) has his or her identity card displayed so it is clearly visible to the person.
