### sec.244 Continuance of existing permits
A permit that has been issued under the repealed Act and has not expired, or been surrendered or cancelled, before the proclaimed day—
if it is a permit under section 75 of the repealed Act or of limited duration—continues in force until it expires or is earlier surrendered or cancelled; and
if it is another permit—continues in force for 6 months after the proclaimed day or until it is earlier surrendered or cancelled.
A term or condition of a permit under section 75 of the repealed Act that requires a place to be used for a particular purpose ceases to have effect.
A permit continued in force under subsection (1) (a) remains in force only until the review of the licence under section 247 .
An extended hours permit that extends hours beyond 3a.m., or an extension of hours for a licence beyond 3a.m., in force on the day the Liquor Amendment Act (No. 2) 1994 commenced, expires on 31 March 1995.
Subsection (4) does not apply to a special facility licence or a limited licence.
