### sec.173NA Purposes of pt 6AB The purposes of this part are to, in an area— minimise harm, and the potential for harm, from the abuse and misuse of alcohol and drugs, and associated violence; and minimise alcohol and drug-related disturbances, or public disorder. To achieve its purposes, this part provides for— areas to be prescribed as safe night precincts; and local boards and consultative committees to be established for safe night precincts to enable licensees, the State and local governments, the police service and community organisations to collaborate to achieve the purposes. s 173NA ins 2014 No. 42 s 75 (sec.173NA-ssec.1) The purposes of this part are to, in an area— minimise harm, and the potential for harm, from the abuse and misuse of alcohol and drugs, and associated violence; and minimise alcohol and drug-related disturbances, or public disorder.
