### sec.9 Completion of periods of supervised legal practice
This section states how to work out whether a person has undertaken a period of supervised legal practice required under section 56 (1) or 77 (1) of the Act (each the required period ).
The person may undertake the supervised legal practice as—
1 period of supervised legal practice, worked on a full-time basis, that is equal to the required period worked out on a full-time basis; or
1 period of supervised legal practice, worked on a part-time basis, that is equivalent to the required period worked out on a full-time basis; or
2 or more periods of supervised legal practice, worked on either or both a full-time basis or a part-time basis, that together are equal or equivalent to the required period worked out on a full-time basis.
Both of the following count towards the required period—
public holidays during the period, whether or not the person engaged in legal practice on those days;
normal periods of leave taken during the period.
This section applies to supervised legal practice whether undertaken before or after the commencement.
(sec.9-ssec.1) This section states how to work out whether a person has undertaken a period of supervised legal practice required under section 56 (1) or 77 (1) of the Act (each the required period ).
(sec.9-ssec.2) The person may undertake the supervised legal practice as— 1 period of supervised legal practice, worked on a full-time basis, that is equal to the required period worked out on a full-time basis; or 1 period of supervised legal practice, worked on a part-time basis, that is equivalent to the required period worked out on a full-time basis; or 2 or more periods of supervised legal practice, worked on either or both a full-time basis or a part-time basis, that together are equal or equivalent to the required period worked out on a full-time basis.

- (a) 1 period of supervised legal practice, worked on a full-time basis, that is equal to the required period worked out on a full-time basis; or
- (b) 1 period of supervised legal practice, worked on a part-time basis, that is equivalent to the required period worked out on a full-time basis; or
- (c) 2 or more periods of supervised legal practice, worked on either or both a full-time basis or a part-time basis, that together are equal or equivalent to the required period worked out on a full-time basis.
