### sec.788 Application of s 347
This section applies in relation to a speculative personal injury claim if—
before the commencement, a costs agreement was entered into between a law practice and the client for the claim; and
on the commencement, the claim has not been settled, decided by a court or otherwise concluded.
Section 347, as amended by the Personal Injuries Proceedings and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2022 , applies to the law practice in relation to the claim.

speculative personal injury claim see section 346.

(sec.788-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to a speculative personal injury claim if— before the commencement, a costs agreement was entered into between a law practice and the client for the claim; and on the commencement, the claim has not been settled, decided by a court or otherwise concluded.
(sec.788-ssec.2) Section 347, as amended by the Personal Injuries Proceedings and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2022 , applies to the law practice in relation to the claim.
