### sec.718 Authorised actions and documents etc. under previous provision
This section applies to the following—
an authorised action or document done, made or kept under a previous provision if the authorised action or document continued to have effect or was in force immediately before the commencement;
an entity’s obligation under a previous provision if the obligation applied to the entity immediately before the commencement;
a protection under a previous provision that applied to an entity immediately before the commencement.
Subject to a specific provision of this Act in relation to an authorised action or document, obligation or protection under a previous provision, if there is a corresponding provision for the previous provision, the authorised action or document, obligation or protection—
continues in force or to have effect according to its terms; but
is taken to have been done, made, kept or applied under the corresponding provision.
Subsection (2) does not apply to a statutory instrument that is, immediately before the commencement, subordinate legislation.
However subsection (2)(b) applies whether or not the previous provision refers to the action or document, obligation or protection by reference to a provision of the Legal Profession Act 2004 .

(sec.718-ssec.1) This section applies to the following— an authorised action or document done, made or kept under a previous provision if the authorised action or document continued to have effect or was in force immediately before the commencement; an entity’s obligation under a previous provision if the obligation applied to the entity immediately before the commencement; a protection under a previous provision that applied to an entity immediately before the commencement.
(sec.718-ssec.2) Subject to a specific provision of this Act in relation to an authorised action or document, obligation or protection under a previous provision, if there is a corresponding provision for the previous provision, the authorised action or document, obligation or protection— continues in force or to have effect according to its terms; but is taken to have been done, made, kept or applied under the corresponding provision.
