### sec.69 Refusal, amendment, suspension or cancellation of local practising certificate because of failure to show cause
The relevant regulatory authority may refuse to grant or renew, or may amend, suspend or cancel, a local practising certificate if the applicant or certificate holder—
is required by section 67 or 68 to give a written statement relating to a matter to the regulatory authority and the applicant or certificate holder has not done so; or
has given a written statement under section 67 or 68 but the authority does not consider that the applicant or certificate holder has shown in the statement that the person is a fit and proper person to hold or to continue to hold a local practising certificate.
For subsection (1) (b) , a written statement accepted by the regulatory authority as mentioned in section 68 (3) is taken to be given under section 67 .
If the regulatory authority decides to refuse to grant or renew, or to amend, suspend or cancel, a local practising certificate—
the authority must give the applicant or certificate holder an information notice about the decision; and
the applicant or certificate holder may apply, as provided under the QCAT Act , to the tribunal for a review of the decision.
Also, the regulatory authority must give a copy of the information notice to the commissioner.

(sec.69-ssec.2) For subsection (1) (b) , a written statement accepted by the regulatory authority as mentioned in section 68 (3) is taken to be given under section 67 .
(sec.69-ssec.3) If the regulatory authority decides to refuse to grant or renew, or to amend, suspend or cancel, a local practising certificate— the authority must give the applicant or certificate holder an information notice about the decision; and the applicant or certificate holder may apply, as provided under the QCAT Act , to the tribunal for a review of the decision.
(sec.69-ssec.4) Also, the regulatory authority must give a copy of the information notice to the commissioner.
