### sec.552 General powers of investigator after entering places
This part applies to an investigator who enters a place.
However if an investigator, under section 545 (2) , enters a place to ask the occupier’s consent to enter premises, this division applies to the investigator only if the consent is given or the entry is otherwise authorised.
For performing an investigator’s function under this Act, an investigator may do any of the following—
search any part of the place;
inspect, measure, test, photograph or film any part of the place or anything at the place;
take a thing, or a sample of or from a thing, at the place for analysis, measurement or testing;
copy, or take an extract from, a document at the place;
take into or onto the place any person, equipment and materials the investigator reasonably requires for exercising a power under this part.
(sec.552-ssec.1) This part applies to an investigator who enters a place.

- (a) search any part of the place;
- (b) inspect, measure, test, photograph or film any part of the place or anything at the place;
- (c) take a thing, or a sample of or from a thing, at the place for analysis, measurement or testing;
- (d) copy, or take an extract from, a document at the place;
- (e) take into or onto the place any person, equipment and materials the investigator reasonably requires for exercising a power under this part.
