### sec.496 Application of chapter to other persons
This chapter applies, with any necessary changes, to each of the following in the same way as it applies to a law practice—
a former law practice or former Australian legal practitioner;
the executor (original or by representation) or administrator for the time being of a deceased Australian legal practitioner or of his or her estate;
the administrator or receiver, or receiver and manager, of the property of an incorporated legal practice;
the liquidator of an incorporated legal practice that is being or has been wound up.
In this section—
former Australian legal practitioner includes a person who was a solicitor or barrister in this jurisdiction before 1 July 2004.
(sec.496-ssec.1) This chapter applies, with any necessary changes, to each of the following in the same way as it applies to a law practice— a former law practice or former Australian legal practitioner; the executor (original or by representation) or administrator for the time being of a deceased Australian legal practitioner or of his or her estate; the administrator or receiver, or receiver and manager, of the property of an incorporated legal practice; the liquidator of an incorporated legal practice that is being or has been wound up.
(sec.496-ssec.2) In this section— former Australian legal practitioner includes a person who was a solicitor or barrister in this jurisdiction before 1 July 2004.
- (a) a former law practice or former Australian legal practitioner;
- (b) the executor (original or by representation) or administrator for the time being of a deceased Australian legal practitioner or of his or her estate;
- (c) the administrator or receiver, or receiver and manager, of the property of an incorporated legal practice;
- (d) the liquidator of an incorporated legal practice that is being or has been wound up.
