### sec.494 Definitions for ch 5
In this chapter—
external intervener means a supervisor, manager or receiver under this chapter.
external intervention means the appointment of, and the exercise of the functions and powers of, a supervisor, manager or receiver under this chapter.
regulated property , of a law practice, means the following—
trust money or trust property received, receivable or held by the law practice;
interest, dividends or other income or anything else derived from or acquired with money or property mentioned in paragraph (a) ;
documents or records of any description relating to anything mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) ;
any computer hardware or software, or other devices, in the custody or control of the law practice by which any records mentioned in paragraph (c) may be produced or reproduced in visible form.
Other expressions used in this chapter have the same meanings as in part 3.3 .
(sec.494-ssec.1) In this chapter— external intervener means a supervisor, manager or receiver under this chapter. external intervention means the appointment of, and the exercise of the functions and powers of, a supervisor, manager or receiver under this chapter. regulated property , of a law practice, means the following— trust money or trust property received, receivable or held by the law practice; interest, dividends or other income or anything else derived from or acquired with money or property mentioned in paragraph (a) ; documents or records of any description relating to anything mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) ; any computer hardware or software, or other devices, in the custody or control of the law practice by which any records mentioned in paragraph (c) may be produced or reproduced in visible form.
(sec.494-ssec.2) Other expressions used in this chapter have the same meanings as in part 3.3 .
- (a) trust money or trust property received, receivable or held by the law practice;
- (b) interest, dividends or other income or anything else derived from or acquired with money or property mentioned in paragraph (a) ;
- (c) documents or records of any description relating to anything mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) ;
- (d) any computer hardware or software, or other devices, in the custody or control of the law practice by which any records mentioned in paragraph (c) may be produced or reproduced in visible form.
