### sec.417 Application of chapter to lawyers, former lawyers and former practitioners This chapter applies to Australian lawyers and former Australian lawyers in relation to conduct happening while they were Australian lawyers (but not Australian legal practitioners) in the same way as it applies to Australian legal practitioners and former Australian legal practitioners, and so applies with any necessary changes. This chapter applies to former Australian legal practitioners in relation to conduct happening while they were Australian legal practitioners in the same way as it applies to persons who are Australian legal practitioners, and so applies with any necessary changes. In this section— former Australian legal practitioner includes a person who was a solicitor or barrister in this jurisdiction before 1 July 2004. (sec.417-ssec.1) This chapter applies to Australian lawyers and former Australian lawyers in relation to conduct happening while they were Australian lawyers (but not Australian legal practitioners) in the same way as it applies to Australian legal practitioners and former Australian legal practitioners, and so applies with any necessary changes. (sec.417-ssec.2) This chapter applies to former Australian legal practitioners in relation to conduct happening while they were Australian legal practitioners in the same way as it applies to persons who are Australian legal practitioners, and so applies with any necessary changes.
