### sec.409 Request to another jurisdiction to investigate aspects of claim
The law society may request a corresponding authority to arrange for the investigation of any aspect of a claim being dealt with by the law society and to provide a report on the result of the investigation.
A report on the result of the investigation received from either of the following may be used and taken into consideration by the law society in the course of dealing with the claim under this part—
the corresponding authority;
a person or entity authorised by the corresponding authority to conduct the investigation.
(sec.409-ssec.1) The law society may request a corresponding authority to arrange for the investigation of any aspect of a claim being dealt with by the law society and to provide a report on the result of the investigation.
(sec.409-ssec.2) A report on the result of the investigation received from either of the following may be used and taken into consideration by the law society in the course of dealing with the claim under this part— the corresponding authority; a person or entity authorised by the corresponding authority to conduct the investigation.
- (a) the corresponding authority;
- (b) a person or entity authorised by the corresponding authority to conduct the investigation.
