### sec.398 Claims by law practices or associates about defaults
This section applies to a default of a law practice arising from or constituted by an act or omission of an associate of the practice.
A claim may be made under section 374 by—
the law practice, if the practice is an incorporated legal practice and it suffers pecuniary loss because of the default; or
another associate of the law practice, if the other associate suffers pecuniary loss because of the default.
(sec.398-ssec.1) This section applies to a default of a law practice arising from or constituted by an act or omission of an associate of the practice.
(sec.398-ssec.2) A claim may be made under section 374 by— the law practice, if the practice is an incorporated legal practice and it suffers pecuniary loss because of the default; or another associate of the law practice, if the other associate suffers pecuniary loss because of the default.
- (a) the law practice, if the practice is an incorporated legal practice and it suffers pecuniary loss because of the default; or
- (b) another associate of the law practice, if the other associate suffers pecuniary loss because of the default.
