### sec.368 Contribution to fidelity fund
A person who applies to the law society for the grant or renewal of a local practising certificate in relation to a financial year must pay a contribution for the financial year to the fidelity fund under the administration rules of the law society.
A payment of a contribution under this section is in addition to all other fees payable in relation to the application.
Without limiting section 231 , the administration rules of the law society may provide for different contributions to be payable by different classes of local legal practitioners or law practices.
This section does not apply to—
a government legal officer whose local practising certificate is subject to a condition that the officer is not to engage in legal practice other than as a government legal officer engaged in government work; or
local legal practitioners of a particular class prescribed under a regulation.
