### sec.36 Conditions
This section applies to a person admitted to the legal profession if—
the person’s admission under this Act or a previous Act was subject to a condition, whether or not the condition has been amended since it was imposed; and
the condition as imposed or amended has not lapsed or been revoked.
The Supreme Court may do any of the following in relation to the condition—
revoke or vary the condition on which the person was admitted to the legal profession, whether on application of the person or on the court’s own initiative;
order the removal of the person’s name from the local roll for contravening the condition.
Without limiting subsection (2) (b) , a contravention of a condition is capable of constituting unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.
(sec.36-ssec.1) This section applies to a person admitted to the legal profession if— the person’s admission under this Act or a previous Act was subject to a condition, whether or not the condition has been amended since it was imposed; and the condition as imposed or amended has not lapsed or been revoked.
(sec.36-ssec.2) The Supreme Court may do any of the following in relation to the condition— revoke or vary the condition on which the person was admitted to the legal profession, whether on application of the person or on the court’s own initiative; order the removal of the person’s name from the local roll for contravening the condition.
(sec.36-ssec.3) Without limiting subsection (2) (b) , a contravention of a condition is capable of constituting unsatisfactory professional conduct or professional misconduct.
- (a) the person’s admission under this Act or a previous Act was subject to a condition, whether or not the condition has been amended since it was imposed; and
- (b) the condition as imposed or amended has not lapsed or been revoked.
- (a) revoke or vary the condition on which the person was admitted to the legal profession, whether on application of the person or on the court’s own initiative;
- (b) order the removal of the person’s name from the local roll for contravening the condition.
