### sec.25 Prohibition on representing or advertising entitlement to engage in legal practice when not entitled
A person must not represent or advertise that the person is entitled to engage in legal practice unless the person is an Australian legal practitioner.
Maximum penalty—300 penalty units or 2 years imprisonment.
A director, officer, employee or agent of a body corporate must not represent or advertise that the body corporate is entitled to engage in legal practice unless the body corporate is an incorporated legal practice.

Subsections (1) and (2) do not apply to a representation or advertisement about a person being entitled to engage in legal practice as mentioned in section 24 (2) .
Also, subsection (1) does not apply to a representation or advertisement about a person being entitled to engage in legal practice as mentioned in section 24 (3) .
A reference in this section to a person—
representing or advertising that the person is entitled to engage in legal practice; or
representing or advertising that a body corporate is entitled to engage in legal practice;
includes a reference to the person doing anything that states or implies the person or the body corporate is entitled to engage in legal practice.

(sec.25-ssec.4) Also, subsection (1) does not apply to a representation or advertisement about a person being entitled to engage in legal practice as mentioned in section 24 (3) .
(sec.25-ssec.5) A reference in this section to a person— representing or advertising that the person is entitled to engage in legal practice; or representing or advertising that a body corporate is entitled to engage in legal practice; includes a reference to the person doing anything that states or implies the person or the body corporate is entitled to engage in legal practice.
