### sec.193 Locally registered foreign lawyer—show cause event
This section applies to a show cause event that happens in relation to a locally registered foreign lawyer.
The locally registered foreign lawyer must give the law society both of the following—
within 7 days after the day of the event—notice, in the law society approved form, that the event happened;
within 28 days after the day of the event—a written statement explaining why, despite the event, the person considers himself or herself to be a fit and proper person to be a locally registered foreign lawyer.
However, if a written statement is provided after the 28 days mentioned in subsection (2) (b) , the law society may accept the statement and take it into consideration.
(sec.193-ssec.1) This section applies to a show cause event that happens in relation to a locally registered foreign lawyer.
