### sec.239 Giving authorised person false or misleading information
A person must not give an authorised person information, or a document containing information, that the person knows is false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
Subsection (1) applies even if the information or document was not given in response to, or in purported compliance with, an authorised person’s information requirement.
