### sec.237 Compensation because of exercise of powers
A person may claim compensation from the State if the person incurs a cost, damage or loss because of the exercise, or purported exercise, of a power by or for an authorised person.
However, subsection (1) does not apply to a lawful seizure.
Without limiting subsection (1) , compensation may be claimed for a cost, damage or loss incurred because of compliance with an authorised person’s information requirement.
