### sec.209 Power to assess value other than for a valuation
The valuer-general may, if someone asks and pays the fee prescribed under a regulation, assess the value of land or personal property.
For land, the assessment may be of—
its unimproved value, site value or improved value; or
the value of improvements on it.
Section 25 applies for subsection (2) as if the assessment were a valuation.

The valuer-general must issue a certificate of the assessment.
