### sec.8 Subpoenas
The Land Court may summon a person as a witness and may—
require the person to produce documents in the person’s possession or power; and
examine the person; and
punish the person for not attending under the summons or for refusing to give evidence or for failing to produce the documents.
Despite subsection (1) , a person is not required to give evidence that may tend to incriminate the person.
For subsection (1) , a member of the court has the same powers as a Supreme Court judge has for the same matters in the Supreme Court.
(sec.8-ssec.1) The Land Court may summon a person as a witness and may— require the person to produce documents in the person’s possession or power; and examine the person; and punish the person for not attending under the summons or for refusing to give evidence or for failing to produce the documents.
(sec.8-ssec.2) Despite subsection (1) , a person is not required to give evidence that may tend to incriminate the person.
(sec.8-ssec.3) For subsection (1) , a member of the court has the same powers as a Supreme Court judge has for the same matters in the Supreme Court.
