### sec.28 Judicial registrars
The Governor in Council may appoint judicial registrars to exercise the powers and perform the functions prescribed under the rules.

For the privileges, protection and immunity of judicial registrars, see section 52D .
A person may be appointed as a judicial registrar only if the person is eligible for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the Supreme Court.
A judicial registrar may be removed from office only by the Governor in Council for proven incapacity or misbehaviour.
A judicial registrar is an officer of the court.
