### sec.20 Member not to practise profession likely to conflict
A member must not practise in, or have a direct or indirect interest in the practise of, a business or profession if the practise or interest is likely to conflict with the member’s duty as a member.
A member must resign from office as a member if the member is chosen as a member of the Legislative Assembly.
Subsection (1) does not apply to—
an acting member; or
a member appointed under section 17 on a part-time basis.
(sec.20-ssec.1) A member must not practise in, or have a direct or indirect interest in the practise of, a business or profession if the practise or interest is likely to conflict with the member’s duty as a member.
(sec.20-ssec.2) A member must resign from office as a member if the member is chosen as a member of the Legislative Assembly.
(sec.20-ssec.3) Subsection (1) does not apply to— an acting member; or a member appointed under section 17 on a part-time basis.
- (a) an acting member; or
- (b) a member appointed under section 17 on a part-time basis.
