### sec.521ZE Cancellation of land management agreements
This section applies to a relevant term lease in force on the commencement.
Subject to section 521ZF, the lessee may apply in writing to the Minister for the cancellation of the land management agreement for the lease.
The Minister may grant the cancellation.
However, the agreement must not be cancelled if the Minister is satisfied—
the lease land suffers from, or is at risk of, land degradation; or
the lessee is using the lease land in a way that is not fulfilling the lessee’s duty of care for the land, under section 199.
The cancellation of a land management agreement under this section does not affect the term of the lease.
If the Minister decides to refuse to grant the cancellation the lessee may appeal against the decision.
