### sec.505 Changing tenures of harbour land
The Governor in Council, by order in council, may approve that land that became an asset of the State because of the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 , section 231 (1) be dedicated or allocated, without competition, to a local government or another body in the way stated in the order in council.
The Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 , section 231 expired 1 July 1997. The Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 20A applies.
Before land can be dedicated or allocated, the local government or other body must agree to the dedication or allocation.
If land is allocated or dedicated to a local government or other body, the local government or body takes the place of the State as a party to an interest in the land held by someone else.
An interest in the land is not affected by the allocation or dedication, even though the interest may not be an interest that would be granted or issued under this Act.
Registration fees are not payable for an allocation or dedication mentioned in this section.
An order in council under this section is not subordinate legislation.
