### sec.44 Appointing trustees
The Minister may appoint trustees of trust land.
A trustee may be—
the State; or
a statutory body; or
an incorporated body; or
a named individual.
The Minister may appoint a trustee subject to conditions.
Before a trustee may be appointed, the Minister must be given written acceptance of the appointment.
A trustee is appointed by registering a trustee of trust land notice or plan of subdivision.
The appointment of a trustee under subsection (1) is effective—
if the appointment is the appointment of a trustee of a reserve—on the day the trustee of trust land notice or plan of subdivision for the dedication of the reserve is registered; or
if the appointment is the appointment of a trustee of a deed of grant in trust—on the day the trustee of trust land notice for the appointment is registered.
A plan of subdivision mentioned in subsection (6) (a) must include all of the following—
the Minister’s approval of the appointment;
the name of the trustee;
any conditions to which the appointment is subject under subsection (3) .

(sec.44-ssec.1) The Minister may appoint trustees of trust land.
(sec.44-ssec.2) A trustee may be— the State; or a statutory body; or an incorporated body; or a named individual.
(sec.44-ssec.3) The Minister may appoint a trustee subject to conditions.
(sec.44-ssec.4) Before a trustee may be appointed, the Minister must be given written acceptance of the appointment.
(sec.44-ssec.5) A trustee is appointed by registering a trustee of trust land notice or plan of subdivision.
(sec.44-ssec.6) The appointment of a trustee under subsection (1) is effective— if the appointment is the appointment of a trustee of a reserve—on the day the trustee of trust land notice or plan of subdivision for the dedication of the reserve is registered; or if the appointment is the appointment of a trustee of a deed of grant in trust—on the day the trustee of trust land notice for the appointment is registered.
(sec.44-ssec.7) A plan of subdivision mentioned in subsection (6) (a) must include all of the following— the Minister’s approval of the appointment; the name of the trustee; any conditions to which the appointment is subject under subsection (3) .
- (a) the State; or
- (b) a statutory body; or
- (c) an incorporated body; or
- (d) a named individual.
- (a) if the appointment is the appointment of a trustee of a reserve—on the day the trustee of trust land notice or plan of subdivision for the dedication of the reserve is registered; or
- (b) if the appointment is the appointment of a trustee of a deed of grant in trust—on the day the trustee of trust land notice for the appointment is registered.
- (a) the Minister’s approval of the appointment;

- (c) any conditions to which the appointment is subject under subsection (3) .
