### sec.416 Defence may be filed A person who receives a proceeding notice may defend the proceeding by filing a notice (a defence notice ) with the registrar of the Magistrates Court within 14 days of receiving the proceeding notice. The defence notice must state— the grounds on which the proceeding is defended; and the orders sought by the person. s 416 amd 1995 No. 57 s 4 sch 1 ; 2013 No. 23 s 352 sch 1 pt 1 (sec.416-ssec.1) A person who receives a proceeding notice may defend the proceeding by filing a notice (a defence notice ) with the registrar of the Magistrates Court within 14 days of receiving the proceeding notice.
