### sec.416 Defence may be filed
A person who receives a proceeding notice may defend the proceeding by filing a notice (a defence notice ) with the registrar of the Magistrates Court within 14 days of receiving the proceeding notice.
The defence notice must state—
the grounds on which the proceeding is defended; and
the orders sought by the person.

(sec.416-ssec.1) A person who receives a proceeding notice may defend the proceeding by filing a notice (a defence notice ) with the registrar of the Magistrates Court within 14 days of receiving the proceeding notice.
(sec.416-ssec.2) The defence notice must state— the grounds on which the proceeding is defended; and the orders sought by the person.
- (a) the grounds on which the proceeding is defended; and
- (b) the orders sought by the person.
