### sec.403D Show cause notice
This section applies if the chief executive proposes to give a person a safety notice under section 403G (2) (c) in relation to a building or other structure or equipment.
The chief executive must first give the person a notice (a show cause notice ) stating the following—
that the chief executive proposes to give the person a safety notice requiring the person to demolish or remove a stated building or another structure or stated equipment;
the grounds for giving the proposed safety notice;
an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds;
that the person may, within a stated period (the show cause period ), make written representations to the chief executive to show why the safety notice should not be given.
The show cause period must end at least 21 days after the person is given the show cause notice.

(sec.403D-ssec.1) This section applies if the chief executive proposes to give a person a safety notice under section 403G (2) (c) in relation to a building or other structure or equipment.

(sec.403D-ssec.3) The show cause period must end at least 21 days after the person is given the show cause notice.
- (a) that the chief executive proposes to give the person a safety notice requiring the person to demolish or remove a stated building or another structure or stated equipment;
- (b) the grounds for giving the proposed safety notice;
- (c) an outline of the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the grounds;
- (d) that the person may, within a stated period (the show cause period ), make written representations to the chief executive to show why the safety notice should not be given.
