### sec.403C Publication of particular public notices on department’s website
This section applies if an official is required under this Act to give a public notice, unless the notice is a gazette notice.
This section applies even if this Act provides for a particular way in which the notice must be given.
The official must publish the notice on the department’s website for a total of at least 10 business days.
The 10 business days may be, but need not necessarily be, consecutive.
Subsection (3) does not prevent the official from also giving the notice in another way the official considers appropriate.
In deciding to give the notice in another way, the official must consider the intended audience for the notice.
In this section—
give , for a notice, includes advertising it.
notice includes an advertisement.
official means—
the Minister; or
the chief executive; or
a person performing functions or exercising powers under this Act for the Minister or the chief executive.
public notice means a notice of a public nature that is not required only to be given, or only intended for, a particular person or group of persons.
