### sec.389C Requirements of caveats
A caveat in relation to a lease or licence must be signed by or for the caveator.
The caveat must state—
the name of the caveator; and
an address where documents can be served on the caveator; and
unless the registrar of titles dispenses with it, the name and address of—
the lessee or licensee affected by the caveat; and
each other person whose interest or whose right to registration of a document is affected by the caveat; and
the registered interest affected by the caveat; and
the interest claimed by the caveator; and
the grounds on which the interest is claimed.
Without limiting subsection (2) (b) , the address stated may be the address of a stated legal practitioner.
This section applies to caveats under this division other than a caveat prepared and registered by the registrar of titles under section 389L (1) .

(sec.389C-ssec.2A) Without limiting subsection (2) (b) , the address stated may be the address of a stated legal practitioner.
(sec.389C-ssec.3) This section applies to caveats under this division other than a caveat prepared and registered by the registrar of titles under section 389L (1) .
- (a) the name of the caveator; and
- (b) an address where documents can be served on the caveator; and
- (c) unless the registrar of titles dispenses with it, the name and address of— (i) the lessee or licensee affected by the caveat; and (ii) each other person whose interest or whose right to registration of a document is affected by the caveat; and
- (i) the lessee or licensee affected by the caveat; and
- (ii) each other person whose interest or whose right to registration of a document is affected by the caveat; and
- (d) the registered interest affected by the caveat; and
- (e) the interest claimed by the caveator; and
- (f) the grounds on which the interest is claimed.
