### sec.385 Acts in relation to substitute decision makers
An act may be done by a person who is responsible by law for the management and care of someone else’s interests if—
the act is required or permitted to be done by or for the other person under this Act; and
the person has a mental illness or is incapable of managing their own affairs.
If—
an act is required or permitted to be done in relation to a person under this Act; and
the person has a power of attorney that gives an attorney power to deal with land;
the act may be done in relation to the attorney.

(sec.385-ssec.2) If— an act is required or permitted to be done in relation to a person under this Act; and the person has a power of attorney that gives an attorney power to deal with land; the act may be done in relation to the attorney.

- (b) the person has a mental illness or is incapable of managing their own affairs.
