### sec.291 Registrar of titles may correct registers
The registrar of titles may correct a register mentioned in section 276 if the registrar is satisfied—
the register is incorrect; and
the correction will not prejudice the rights of the holder of an interest in the relevant lease, licence, permit or reserve.
The registrar of titles’ power to correct a register includes power to correct a particular in the register or a document forming part of the register.
If a register is corrected, the registrar of titles must record in the register—
the state of the register before the correction; and
the time, day and circumstances of the correction.
A register corrected by the registrar of titles under this section has the same effect as if the incorrect recording had not been made.
