### sec.288 Certain documents must be signed
A document transferring a lease, sublease or licence or creating an interest in a lease or sublease must be signed by—
the transferor or the person creating the interest; and
the transferee or the person in whose favour the interest is to be created or a legal practitioner authorised by the transferee or person.
A total or partial discharge or release of mortgage need only be signed by the mortgagee.
For a document that is an electronic conveyancing document, subsections (1) and (2) apply subject to the form approved for the document under the Electronic Conveyancing National Law (Queensland) , section 7 .

(sec.288-ssec.1) A document transferring a lease, sublease or licence or creating an interest in a lease or sublease must be signed by— the transferor or the person creating the interest; and the transferee or the person in whose favour the interest is to be created or a legal practitioner authorised by the transferee or person.
(sec.288-ssec.2) A total or partial discharge or release of mortgage need only be signed by the mortgagee.
(sec.288-ssec.3) For a document that is an electronic conveyancing document, subsections (1) and (2) apply subject to the form approved for the document under the Electronic Conveyancing National Law (Queensland) , section 7 .
