### sec.129 Lease for significant development
This section applies if—
an interest in a lease for a significant development is made available to a person under division 1 ; or
under division 2 , a person applies for a lease for a significant development.
Before the lease is granted, the chief executive must obtain an independent assessment of the person’s financial and managerial capabilities.
The person must pay the cost of the assessment.
The cost is not refundable.
The lease must not be granted to the person unless the chief executive is satisfied, having regard to the independent assessment, about the person’s financial and managerial capabilities.

(sec.129-ssec.1) This section applies if— an interest in a lease for a significant development is made available to a person under division 1 ; or under division 2 , a person applies for a lease for a significant development.
(sec.129-ssec.2) Before the lease is granted, the chief executive must obtain an independent assessment of the person’s financial and managerial capabilities.
