### sec.183 Protection of agency, information commissioner etc. from personal liability
A relevant entity does not incur civil liability for an act done or omission made honestly and without negligence under this Act.
A liability that would, other than for this section, attach to a relevant entity attaches instead to the State.
In this section—
relevant entity means any of the following—
an agency;
an agency’s principal officer;
a person acting under the direction of an agency or an agency’s principal officer;
the information commissioner;
a member of the staff of the OIC.

(sec.183-ssec.1) A relevant entity does not incur civil liability for an act done or omission made honestly and without negligence under this Act.
(sec.183-ssec.2) A liability that would, other than for this section, attach to a relevant entity attaches instead to the State.
(sec.183-ssec.3) In this section— relevant entity means any of the following— an agency; an agency’s principal officer; a person acting under the direction of an agency or an agency’s principal officer; the information commissioner; a member of the staff of the OIC.

- (b) an agency’s principal officer;
- (c) a person acting under the direction of an agency or an agency’s principal officer;
- (d) the information commissioner;
- (e) a member of the staff of the OIC.
