### sec.176 Referral to Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal
If the complainant gives written notice to the information commissioner under section 175A , the commissioner must refer the privacy complaint to QCAT within 20 business days after receiving the written notice.
QCAT must exercise its original jurisdiction under the QCAT Act to hear and decide a privacy complaint referred to it under this section.
