### sec.140 Staff subject only to direction of information commissioner
The staff of the OIC are not subject to direction by any person, other than the information commissioner or a person authorised by the commissioner, about the performance of the commissioner’s functions under this Act.
Subsection (1) has effect despite the Public Sector Act 2022 .

(sec.140-ssec.1) The staff of the OIC are not subject to direction by any person, other than the information commissioner or a person authorised by the commissioner, about the performance of the commissioner’s functions under this Act.
