### sec.993 Modern awards A modern award that was in operation under the repealed Act immediately before the commencement is, on the commencement, taken to be a modern award under chapter 3. Until the modern award is varied under this Act for the first time— old chapter 2A, part 3, as it was in force immediately before the commencement, continues to apply to the award; and chapter 3, parts 1 and 2 of this Act do not apply to the award. (sec.993-ssec.1) A modern award that was in operation under the repealed Act immediately before the commencement is, on the commencement, taken to be a modern award under chapter 3. (sec.993-ssec.2) Until the modern award is varied under this Act for the first time— old chapter 2A, part 3, as it was in force immediately before the commencement, continues to apply to the award; and chapter 3, parts 1 and 2 of this Act do not apply to the award. - (a) old chapter 2A, part 3, as it was in force immediately before the commencement, continues to apply to the award; and - (b) chapter 3, parts 1 and 2 of this Act do not apply to the award.
