### sec.867 Cooperating with investigation or audit
An officer or employee of an organisation who is being investigated by an inspector must assist in and cooperate with the investigation unless the officer or employee has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty—100 penalty units.
If an organisation is being investigated by an inspector or audited by a complaints auditor, the organisation must ensure the officers and employees of the organisation assist in and cooperate with the investigation or audit unless the organisation has a reasonable excuse.

For subsection (1) , it is a reasonable excuse for an officer or employee of the organisation not to assist in and cooperate with the investigation if doing so might tend to incriminate the officer or employee.
