### sec.811 Obligation to notify registrar of contravention of Commonwealth Act This section applies if the counterpart federal body of an organisation has contravened a provision of the Commonwealth Registered Organisations Act that corresponds, or substantially corresponds, with the provision for which the organisation was granted an exemption under section 808 . The organisation must give the registrar notice of the contravention as soon as practicable after it becomes aware of the occurrence of the contravention. Maximum penalty—100 penalty units. The organisation is taken to become aware of the occurrence of the contravention if an officer of the organisation becomes aware of it.
