### sec.795 Registrar’s investigations
The registrar must investigate an organisation’s finances or financial administration—
if an audit report for the organisation states—
there was an accounting deficiency in the organisation’s accounts; or
another matter the registrar considers should be investigated; or
if asked by the required number of members of the organisation; or
if required to under section 793 (2) .
The registrar may also conduct an investigation—
if satisfied there are reasonable grounds to conduct an investigation; or
in another circumstance prescribed by regulation.

(sec.795-ssec.2) The registrar may also conduct an investigation— if satisfied there are reasonable grounds to conduct an investigation; or in another circumstance prescribed by regulation.
- (a) if an audit report for the organisation states— (i) there was an accounting deficiency in the organisation’s accounts; or (ii) another matter the registrar considers should be investigated; or
- (i) there was an accounting deficiency in the organisation’s accounts; or
- (ii) another matter the registrar considers should be investigated; or
- (b) if asked by the required number of members of the organisation; or
- (c) if required to under section 793 (2) .
