### sec.72 Employer’s obligation to advise about significant change at the workplace
This section applies if an employer decides to implement significant change at a workplace.
The employer must take reasonable action to advise each employee who is absent from the workplace on parental leave about the proposed change before it is implemented.
The advice must inform the employee of the change and any effect it will have on the position the employee held before starting parental leave, including, for example, the status or level of responsibility attached to the position.
The employer must give the employee a reasonable opportunity to discuss any significant effect the change will have on the employee’s position.
