### sec.692 Interim orders
After the registrar refers the application, the commission may make an interim order—
stopping any further steps to—
conduct the election; or
give effect to the election result; or
stopping a person from acting in an office the election inquiry is about, if the person has—
assumed the office; or
continued to act in the office; or
claims to occupy the office; or
directing a person who holds, or who last held before the election, an office for which the election is held to act or continue to act in the office; or
directing a member of the organisation or branch of the organisation or another stated person to act in an office for which the election is held, if the commission considers a direction under paragraph (c) would—
not be practicable; or
affect the efficient conduct of the affairs of the organisation or branch; or
be inappropriate having regard to the nature of the inquiry; or
consequential to, or amending or discharging, another interim order.
- (a) stopping any further steps to— (i) conduct the election; or (ii) give effect to the election result; or
- (i) conduct the election; or
- (ii) give effect to the election result; or
- (b) stopping a person from acting in an office the election inquiry is about, if the person has— (i) assumed the office; or (ii) continued to act in the office; or (iii) claims to occupy the office; or
- (i) assumed the office; or
- (ii) continued to act in the office; or
- (iii) claims to occupy the office; or
- (c) directing a person who holds, or who last held before the election, an office for which the election is held to act or continue to act in the office; or
- (d) directing a member of the organisation or branch of the organisation or another stated person to act in an office for which the election is held, if the commission considers a direction under paragraph (c) would— (i) not be practicable; or (ii) affect the efficient conduct of the affairs of the organisation or branch; or (iii) be inappropriate having regard to the nature of the inquiry; or
- (i) not be practicable; or
- (ii) affect the efficient conduct of the affairs of the organisation or branch; or
- (iii) be inappropriate having regard to the nature of the inquiry; or
- (e) consequential to, or amending or discharging, another interim order.
- (i) conduct the election; or
- (ii) give effect to the election result; or
- (i) assumed the office; or
- (ii) continued to act in the office; or
- (iii) claims to occupy the office; or
- (i) not be practicable; or
- (ii) affect the efficient conduct of the affairs of the organisation or branch; or
- (iii) be inappropriate having regard to the nature of the inquiry; or
