### sec.646 Powers of commission The commission may, on application (a rules application )— decide whether an organisation’s rules comply with section 623 ; or direct a person obliged to give effect to or comply with an organisation’s rules to give effect to or comply with the rules. However, a direction must not be made if it invalidates— an election or purported election; or a step for an election or purported election. In deciding the rules application, the commission may declare— the whole, or a part of, the rules comply with or contravene section 623 ; or the rules contravene section 623 in a stated way.
