### sec.60 Entitlement to adoption leave
For the adoption of a child, an employee is entitled to—
a total of 8 weeks unpaid short adoption leave; or
an unbroken period of up to 52 weeks unpaid long adoption leave.
The employee’s short adoption leave—
if the employee’s spouse is taking long adoption leave—may be taken concurrently with the employee’s spouse’s long adoption leave; and
may be taken in an unbroken period or broken periods; and
if the employee takes short adoption leave other than immediately after the adoption of the child—must be taken for a minimum 2-week period.

- (a) a total of 8 weeks unpaid short adoption leave; or
