### sec.496 Joint sessions with industrial authorities This section applies if— the president considers proceedings relating to an industrial matter before the commission should be heard in a joint session with an industrial authority; and the industrial authority agrees to the joint session. The president may— hear, or direct a commissioner to hear, the proceedings in a joint session with the industrial authority; or confer, or direct the commissioner to confer, with the industrial authority about the proceedings and the decision to be made in the proceedings; or join, or direct the commissioner to join, with the industrial authority in the decision made in the proceedings.
