### sec.435 President’s administrative functions for the commission The president is responsible for the administration of the commission and the exercise of the commission’s jurisdiction and powers. Without limiting subsection (1) , the president is responsible for deciding the member or members who is or are to constitute the commission, including a full bench of the commission, for a matter or proceeding. The president has the power to do all things necessary or convenient to be done to perform responsibilities under subsection (1) or (2) . The president may delegate a function mentioned in subsection (1) or (2) — to the vice president; or to a deputy president; or if the vice president or a deputy president is not available—to 1 or more commissioners. A commissioner must comply with a direction of the president, vice president, a deputy president or a commissioner given for the performance of a function under subsection (1) or (2) . The president may— establish panels of members; and assign an industry or group of industries to each panel. The powers of the commission in relation to an industry, other than the powers of the full bench, may only be exercised by— a member of the panel to which the industry is assigned; or if the president has assigned a particular matter to a member—the member. If practicable, a panel must consist of at least 1 presidential member and 1 commissioner. A member of the commission may be a member of more than 1 panel.
