### sec.170 Notice of intention to be party to bargaining
This section applies if—
a proposer gives a notice of intention; and
the negotiations—
relate to a project agreement; or
involve a multi-employer agreement; and
a person who receives the notice of intention wants to be a party to the negotiations; and
for negotiations relating to a project—the person mentioned in paragraph (c) is an organisation.
The person must give written notice of the person’s intention to be a party to the negotiations to—
the proposer; and
the commission.
A notice under subsection (2) must be given within 21 days after the person receives the notice of intention.
An agreement, or application under part 5 for the making of a bargaining award, may only be made within the period mentioned in subsection (3) if the other proposed parties to the negotiations, and all relevant employee organisations, have given a notice under subsection (2) .
(sec.170-ssec.1) This section applies if— a proposer gives a notice of intention; and the negotiations— relate to a project agreement; or involve a multi-employer agreement; and a person who receives the notice of intention wants to be a party to the negotiations; and for negotiations relating to a project—the person mentioned in paragraph (c) is an organisation.

- (d) for negotiations relating to a project—the person mentioned in paragraph (c) is an organisation.

- (ii) involve a multi-employer agreement; and
- (a) the proposer; and
- (b) the commission.
